I'm Excited!

Tomorrow is the (unofficial) first day of Dragon*Con. This is the day where we basically get in our room, pick up our con badge and then relax the rest of the day. Will sure to be a swell experience. Any way I hope my classes get down fast so I can get up to ATL faster.

Coupons

Over the past week I've been collecting coupons that will either get stuff for free or will make stuff way cheap compared to there original price. An example would be last Saturday when we got socks that were originally $9.36 for $1.36 with a coupon. These coupons are amazing but they do have the possiblility of not working.

Dragon*Con

Next Thursday afternoon I will be leaving Macon for four days to go to an event known as Dragon*Con up in Atlanta. It is a sci-fi, fantasy, comic, all around nerd convention made for the fans by the fans. This will be my fourth year attending and it happens to be the 25th Anniversary so YAY! I plan on taking plenty of pictures and maybe attending a party or two with four of my friends.

Persopolis

For my Macon Connections class we had to read Persopolis, A story about a girl growing up in Tehran during the Iranian Revolution. So far its a pretty good story and I know there is more because it is also a movie in French. Right now I'm on the last chapter and have to type a journal entry on chapter 4.

Second Week of Class

Well its my second week of classes here and it's been alright. So far no homework and pretty easy course material. Checked out the gameroom yesterday and played a round of pool before I went home. I lost the game only becuase I called wrong pocket on the 8 ball. I was dissapointed but there's always next time.

End of the day

Feels good getting out of classes early however it sucks when you have to wait for a ride. So far classes seem to be fine but I have a feeling that with time they will either get harder or the workload will be overwhelming. Hopefully I kill a boss tonight in WoW but we will just have to see how it goes down.

Why I'm here

I chose to go to Macon State because it is in town and relatively low tuition compared to other schools. It also has a pretty nice campus.  I also know alot of people here who went to my highschool so at least I don't feel completely alone on this experience.

Regarding my blog name it comes from names I have used before either through gaming or various other things.
